The main goal of the MMUN was to familiarize high school students with mechanisms of international cooperation and basic diplomatic approaches, such as negotiations, peaceful conflict solutions, consensus building, as well as to understand the importance of the UN’s role in the contemporary world. MMUN targets inter-community/inter-ethnic and inter-municipal communication and cooperation for the purpose of promoting reconciliation. The aim was to contribute to reconciliation in ethnically mixed areas and among the communities living in Kosovo, i.e. Mitrovica Region.
Up to 60 high school students from North Mitrovica/ Mitrovicë, South Mitrovica, Zvecan/Zveçan, Zubin Potok, Leposavić/Leposaviq have benefited from the project.
