Background
New Social Initiative (NSI) is a civil society organization working in Kosovo and cooperating with key stakeholders in the Western Balkan region. Our mission is to empower non-majority communities for participation in Kosovo’s social and institutional life and to increase trust among communities. We aim to impact inclusiveness, trust-building, democratization processes, and good governance in Kosovo. NSI envisions an inclusive society built on trust and appreciation among communities, where citizens from all ethnic groups actively participate in society and its governance.
Objective
The objective of this consultancy is to develop a comprehensive communication strategy for NSI. This strategy should enhance our outreach, engagement, and communication efforts to better serve our mission and vision.
Scope of Work
The Consultant will be responsible for:
- Conducting a thorough assessment of NSI’s current communication channels, tools, and practices.
- Identifying key stakeholders and target audiences.
- Developing clear and actionable communication goals aligned with NSI’s mission and vision.
- Crafting key messages tailored to different audiences.
- Recommending appropriate communication channels and tools.
- Developing a detailed implementation plan, including timelines and resource requirements.
- Providing training and capacity-building sessions for NSI staff on effective communication practices.
- Developing monitoring and evaluation metrics to measure the impact of the communication strategy.
Deliverables
- Comprehensive communication strategy document.
- Implementation plan with timelines and resources.
- Training materials and sessions for NSI staff.
- Monitoring and evaluation framework for the communication strategy.
Duration and Timeline
The consultancy is expected to be completed within 3 months, starting from 16.07.2024 and concluding by 15.10.2024.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal Consultant should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in communication strategy development, preferably within the NGO sector.
- Proven experience in conducting assessments and developing communication plans.
- Excellent understanding of the socio-political context in Kosovo and the Western Balkan region.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Experience in training and capacity building.
