The New Social Initiative (NSI) is excited to announce the launch of the second #LTLChallenge, an open call for citizens, civil society organizations, and informal groups to submit innovative proposals to solve problems in their local communities. What is the #LTLChallenge?
#LTLChallenge is an initiative intended primarily for groups of citizens who do not want to be passive observers of problems in their local communities but are ready to offer ideas and solutions.
Who can apply?
We encourage civil society organizations, socially active and innovative individuals involved in the work of non-governmental organizations, or citizens who are aware of problems in their local community and ready to take matters into their own hands, to apply for the #LTLChallenge. To win the #LTLChallenge and receive the support, you need to submit your application by May 8, 2023.
To be eligible, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Consist of at least four members.
- All team members need to be between 16 and 60 years old.
- Team members need to be motivated to participate in the #LTLChallenge.
- You need to have a desire to contribute to building a better environment for family, friends, neighbours, and fellow citizens.
- You need to have an idea of how to do it.
Proposals and ideas will be considered if they meet the following conditions:
- Your initiative will be implemented within 3 months period.
- Your initiative is clear and concrete, with visible goals and outcomes.
Ideas should address challenges from the community, but they don’t have to be limited to the following areas:
- Reshaping of local public spaces
- Ecology
- Culture
- Sports
- Volunteerism
Please note that initiatives that address broader community issues, multi-ethnic teams and first-time applicants will be given a priority.

All applications should be submitted to office@newsocialinitiative.org with the subject line “Application for #LTLChallenge2_Name of the initiative”. Please note that the maximum amount of the budget per project is €2.000,00.
