The exhibition “All Our Tears” on display until Monday

The “All Our Tears” exhibition stopped in Belgrade and Skopje, before ending its journey in Pristina this week on International Human Rights Day, and if you haven’t already, there is still time to pay a visit.

This unique exhibition is dedicated to the stories of victims of wars in the region. The goal of this exhibition is to acquaint the general public with the stories and make a plea for support for the victims and other affected groups in the region in their pursuit of truth and justice.

The exhibition consists of 34 original photographs, taken by four photographers in various places in Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia. The photographers did not know each other, yet managed to create a universal story with their photographs and unite the painful memories of an ordinary person and their suffering.

The stories represent several aspects of the wars in the former Yugoslavia – family photos of missing persons, sites of atrocities, mass graves, internally displaced people, and memorials, but also the lingering consequences of the conflict that are still felt today, showing all the tragedy and complexity of the war.

The exhibition All Our Tears aims to advance mutual understanding at the collective and individual levels in order to increase social development and cohesion.

The process of creation is done in cooperation with associations of families of the missing and deceased from Kosovo and Serbia, as well as families of deceased civilians and IDPs from North Macedonia, with the aim to open space for new opportunities and joint initiatives when it comes to building peace and reconciliation in the region.

You can visit the exhibition every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., until the 19th of December 2022, at the Grand Hotel, on the third floor.

Marinko Đurić, from the Association of Families of Kosmet Victims, Bajram Qerkini, from the Resource Center for Missing Persons, as well as Andin Hoti, the Chairman of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, spoke at the opening of the exhibition.

Organized by Missing Persons Resource Center, Integra, New Social Initiative, Peace Action, and Civic Initiatives, with the support of PAX and ICTJ, this regional exhibition will have its third installment in Prishtina after being presented in Belgrade and Skopje earlier this year.
