Exhibition “All Our Tears” opens on Wednesday in Skopje
Our partners from Mitrovna akcija from Prilep are organizing the opening of the exhibition “All our tears” on October 12, 2022 at 18:00 at the Multimedia Center “Mala stanisa” on ul. “Yordan Mijalkov” no. 18, Skopje.
The exhibition is dedicated to the civilian victims of the wars in Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo. The exhibition will present 34 photographs by the authors: Arbnora Memeti and Nake Batev from North Macedonia, Branislav Pešić from Serbia and Atdhe Mula from Kosovo.
The photographs were taken in cooperation with associations of families of missing and killed persons from Serbia and Kosovo, as well as families of murdered civilians and internally displaced persons from North Macedonia, with the aim of opening up space for new opportunities and initiatives related to the construction of peace and reconciliation in the region.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from October 12 to 17, 2022
The the author(s) of the photos will speak at the opening, as well as: Abedin Zimberi – as a representative of the Zimberi family from Slupčane, Elena Saveska – a young activist from Tetovo, and Marina Gj. Kitanoska from Peace Action in the role of a representative of the peace organizations that are the organizers of the exhibition.
The exhibition is a part of the project “Strengthening Inclusive Victim Voices, Transforming Narratives” (SIVV). This project is a joint initiative implemented in Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia, by Peace Movement PAX, International Centre for Transitional Justice (ICTJ), Integra, New Social Initiative (NSI), Civic Initiatives (CI), and Peace Action (PA) and supported by the European Union.
This regional exhibition has its second setting in Skopje on October 12th, and will afterwards travel to Pristina. The first opening was in Belgrade on May 25, 2022.
