NextGen Balkans: Dealing with the Future

NextGen Balkans: Dealing with the Future is a regional project implemented by Civic Initiatives as the lead partner, in cooperation with New Social Initiative (NSI), and supported by the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) with funding from German Cooperation. The project aims to encourage youth participation in decision-making processes, strengthen young people’s role in local policymaking, and promote inclusive governance and civic engagement in the Western Balkans.

As part of the project, New Social Initiative will contribute to the following activities:

• Organization of training sessions encouraging youth participation in decision-making processes in Leposavić
• Participation in meetings with representatives of local municipalities to establish participatory working bodies on youth-related issues
• Support for workshops dedicated to drafting local policy papers
• Advocacy activities aimed at promoting the adoption of policy papers by municipal decision-makers
• Support for young participants from North Kosovo attending the NextGen Policy Hub training in Preševo
