Linking Through Lenses

Linking Through Lenses was a 16-month project funded by the Swiss Embassy in Kosovo with the aim to enables social media influencers (YouTubers, Instagramers, TikTokers, and others) to shape the sentiments of youth in Kosovo, bring communities together, and generate new practices or perspectives of communication and dialogue.

LTL provided a space for youth to unleash their creativity and through different perspectives capture diverse relationships among communities in Kosovo. Influencers promoted positive stories and created content that presented everyone with an opportunity to acknowledge the other side of the toxic narratives that surround us, and see a positive aspect of youth relations in Kosovo.

Every video that we recorded with our influencers conveyed positive messages about the good relations between the communities in Kosovo, showing closely each of their lives and what they do in their daily lives. In addition to the videos that were recorded as part of the video campaign, LTL accomplished three successful challenges, each of which aimed to show examples of good relationships between communities and convey positive and inspiring messages to the others. We had many participants who took part in these challenges and 9 of them won our awards for showing everyone inspiring examples of good relations between young people from different communities living in Kosovo.

Linking Through Lenses project was finalized in January 2022 with a conference titled “My Turn to Influence”.

The conference summarized the previous achievements of the project – one workshop with 13 influencers, three challenges and a video campaign and you can find all of these on LTL YouTube Channel.
